Frequently Asked Questions
Walking into a church building for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. To help you feel more at home, we want you to know what you may experience when visiting FBJB by answering some common questions.
What time are the services?
We have one in-person Sunday morning services at 10:00 a.m.
How long does the church service last?
Our Sunday morning service typically lasts around 75 minutes.
What do people wear to the service?
The majority of our regular attendees dress casually while some wear more traditional church clothes.
Is there parking available?
Yes, we have plenty of parking, either grass parking in front of the sanctuary or paved near the Kid’s Ministry entrance.
Will I be pressured to give money?
No. You are our guest, and we will not pressure you for any money. We are grateful that you have come to join us.
Is childcare available?
Yes, our childcare is clean, safe, and free. You will check in/out your newborn through 5 years old (non-kindergarten). Kindergarten - 3rd grade are dismissed from the service after the music. Please check in at our Kid's entrance at the east end of the building. Once a child's information is inputted into our system, two tags are generated that contain one unique security code. One tag is used as a nametag and the other as a return tag for the parents to present at the end of service. Be aware that children will not be released unless a matching tag is presented for the safety of all families.
Will I be singled out in the service?
We do not single out our guests in our services. We will not ask you to stand, stay seated, wear a sticker, or anything else that may cause you to be uncomfortable.
What are the sermons like at First Baptist Jensen Beach?
We typically study books of the Bible one at a time to hear what God has to say to us today, with an occasional topical series between book studies. You may sample sermons from FBJB here.
Do you want to learn more about our church?
Discover FBJB is for those interested in learning more about our church or for prospective members of our church. In this class, we articulate what we believe, our church’s vision for the future, and our core values. Part of the class is also devoted to what healthy church membership looks like.
Discover FBJB is offered in-person on Sundays directly following the 10am worship service. Lunch is provided, as well as childcare upon request.
