Programs
- All programs have a weekly Spanish class, music class, and chapel.
12 months* - 2yrs
Your child will grow and develop in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Your child will be stimulated cognitively, socially and academically. We will help your child to develop by encouraging them to reach each developmentally appropriate milestone. As your child begins to show an interest, we will work alongside parents to begin the important process of potty training.
*Child must be walking and able to eat on his/her own.
Toddlers
Your toddler is becoming more independent at this age. Problem solving, creating, exploring, and working more independently are skills that your child will develop during this time.
Language- In our classroom we read, rhyme, sing, ask questions and share experiences. Take a look around our room and you will see labels, directions, signs, posters and books throughout the room.
Art- We provide the materials and then watch as your child learns to be creative and independent, how to explore and discover, and even how to solve problems by creating solutions!
Math- In the classroom, we use meal times, flannel board stories, building with blocks and Legos, and the use of our toys to teach math concepts daily!
Science- In the classroom and outdoors, we will discover and explore the world around us to enhance the world we are already familiar with.
Fine Motor- In our classroom; we use beads, puzzles, Legos and a variety of connectors in the classroom to enhance this skill.
Gross Motor- Active songs are fun in the classroom. We have marching parades with instruments in the classroom; we run, climb, swing, jump, slide, ride bikes, balance and just move our bodies outside!
Dramatic Play- The classroom provides a variety of materials and items in the kitchen area, dress-up area and block area to stimulate the children’s desire to open up a world of imagination.
Preschool 3’s
Your child will learn many things about God’s World as well as develop language skills with the help of many animal friends. We have a Bible story time daily, and learn a new Bible verse every two weeks. Workbooks have been developed especially with your child in mind. We will develop manual skills through coloring, painting and gluing. Stories, poetry and music will aid in the development of comprehension, language, and thinking skills. Not only will your child learn all the letters of the alphabet, recognize numbers 1-15, and count 1-30 but they will also learn to incorporate the use of all their senses in the learning process.
Pre-K / VPK
We take part in Florida’s Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program. This is a program that is free to any child who is 4 by September 1. This 3-hour program is designed to prepare your child with the necessary skills to begin Kindergarten. The children learn through play as they visit different learning centers throughout the classroom. Each center is designed to expand your child’s knowledge of the theme for that week. Centers include: reading, writing, art, sand, water, sensory, dramatic play, manipulative, block, math, and science. We use the Abeka Curriculum for our phonics and Bible. In phonics, we begin by learning the names and sounds of each letter. We then blend two letters together and add a third sound. By Christmas, we begin to read words and books. We also encourage each child to develop the correct formation of letters through various fine motor activities. Each week, we learn to hide God’s word in our hearts by memorizing Bible verses. Your child will be able to recite 26 Bible verses with references by the end of the school year! We are eager to help you meet the needs and develop the unique abilities of your child to prepare them for Kindergarten.
