Wee Splash

We believe that God has called parents to be the number one spiritual leaders in the lives of their children.
As a church, we want to partner with you by pointing your children to God.

Nursery Hours

Sunday:            9:00 AM (for parents in Life Groups) and 10:00 AM

Wednesday:    6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Your First Stop

Please stop in at the front desk check-in station to print out your identification and item labels. To avoid congestion,
please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the service you are attending.   Plan to bring a labeled diaper bag with adequate supplies for your child.   Please consider: bottles, cups, pacifier (clip-on preferred), a change of clothing, diaper rash cream, and extra diapers. If you would like for us to mix any formula, please supply the formula in a single serve container labeled with your child’s name.

Snacks

We do have snacks available for your child.   Examples are: pretzels, Cheerios, graham crackers, gold fish, animal cookies, and water.   It is the responsibility of the parent to inform the Nursery Director of any food allergies.   The Nursery Director will ensure that this information is included in your child’s informational file in our check-in system
and printed on your child’s ID label.

Peace of Mind

Some children cry for a few moments after their parents leave.    Don’t worry.   This usually passes quickly as the child settles into the nursery environment.    If your child is crying after you leave, the Care Team would appreciate you not letting your child see you again until you are ready to pick him/her up.    Our Care Team will make every effort to engage
an unhappy child in a comforting activity.   If the child is inconsolable (15 minutes of non-stop crying), you will be notified.
Under no circumstances do we support the idea of letting your child “cry it out”.

Security

For your child’s health and security, we limit access to the nurseries. Only scheduled nursery workers will be allowed in the nurseries.

Contacting you During Worship

If your child needs you while you are in the Worship Service, we will notify you through our number display system. Above the door on the right side of the platform, there is a box that will display a number. If that number matches the number on your check-in label receipt, please meet the Nursery Director in the Welcome Center.

Clean-up

All equipment and toys are cleaned and disinfected weekly. Necessary laundry is done after each service time.

Keeping Kids Healthy

For the safety and comfort of all the parents and children, the nursery cannot admit any child with a contagious illness. We ask that you not bring your child to the nursery if they have had any of the following symptoms in the past 24 hours: Fevers, discolored mucus, vomiting, diarrhea, discharge in and around the eye, skin rashes, flu, etc.  We also ask that if your child is taking Antibiotics, that they have been taking them for 24 hours before returning to the nursery to support everyone’s wellness.   The Care Team does not administer any medications.

The Care Team

Our Care Team members are screened, trained, and receive a nationwide background check before they are ever scheduled to work in the nursery. All nursery rooms are staffed with a combination of paid and volunteer teams. For a successful family ministry, parents of nursery age children are strongly encouraged, as couples, to volunteer for one service every three months. It is our policy that only women change diapers.

Infant Nursery

Newborn through stable walkers and/or the age of two.

Toddler Nursery

Seasoned walkers until their third birthday.
