Paul Thompson

Senior Pastor

Married to Cecilia, father of Daniel, Alex, Mark, and Sarah

Paul has been our Senior Pastor since December of 1996.  Prior to that, he served as Youth Pastor here at FBJB.  Paul is a graduate of Mars Hill College, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and will soon receive his doctorate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Paul has a gift for teaching the Bible and loves to communicate its truths to people.  He takes his cue for teaching from 1st Corinthians 1:17-31.

Paul is a native Tar Heel and loves basketball, the NFL, and reading.  He is also an advocate for autism research and ministry.  Mostly he just likes being with his family and enjoying whatever his kids are into. When he retires, he wants to sell his house, and buy an RV so he and Cecilia can live like nomads for a while.   

Steven Sivley

Worship Pastor

Married to Stephanie, dad to Ava and Sam.

Steven came on staff at FBJB in April of 2011. Previously, He served on staff at the Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, AL. He studied Landscape Design at Auburn University (not the typical path into full-time ministry). Through various experiences, opportunities and people, God has confirmed in his life that full-time music ministry in the local church is his life’s calling.

Steven is passionate about worshipping God through music and leading others to do the same. His desire in corporate worship is that all accolades and praise would go “Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” Psalm 115:1. His life verse is John 3:30 “He must become greater, I must become less.”

He enjoys being a husband and dad and spending time with his family. He enjoys watching college football (particularly the Auburn Tigers), working in the yard, and spending time with friends.

Brian Stebbins

Pastor of Students and Discipleship

Married to Allison; Father of Calleigh, Cole, and Bradyn

Brian came on staff at FBJB in January of 2012. He studied Youth Ministry at Boyce College, a school of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has continued his studies in Christian Education through Southeastern Seminary with plans to earn a Master's degree. He previously served as Pastor of students and Children at New Hope Baptist Church in Sanford, NC, and has served to some capacity in youth ministry for the past 10 years. His desire is for students to understand the Joy that Christ offers when we follow His greatest command, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37 Everything we do is out of our Love for Him!

Brian makes his family a priority and takes advantage of these impressionable years with his children. He enjoys outdoor activities, traveling with the family, and having fun!

Eddy Fredryk

Pastor to Children and Families

Married to Linda; Dad to Ashley, Matt, and Emily.

Eddy loves his family and Eddy loves to play! He loves to surf, skateboard, fish, hunt, cook and fly kites. But most of all Eddy loves Jesus and communicating His Word to children in exciting and fun ways so that they can remember it and apply it to their lives.

Eddy is a native Floridian, and since 1992 has had the privilege to serve God exclusively in Florida as a Senior Pastor, a Youth Pastor, and now as a Pastor to Children and their Families.

His life focus comes from Colossians 3:23 which directs him to do everything with all his heart.
